This refers to Strategy 1.4, which relates to Operational Objective 3.4 of the Ramsar Strategic Plan 2003-2008. The Framework for the implementation of the Strategic Plan was adopted on the understanding that it would be used in conjunction with the Strategic Plan. Under the Strategy are some specific key result areas (e.g., by COP 10, information on wetlands and their role in mitigation and adaptation to climate change is completed) and key performance measures to ensure that the operational objective is met. Ramsar Resolution VIII.25, 7 and Ramsar Resolution VIII.25, Annex: This refers to Action 2.1.2 under Operational Objective 2: policies and legislation, including impact assessment and valuation. Activities and decision-making processes relating to coastal and marine planning, and responses to climate change are given particular emphasis.

The ASEAN Strategic Plan of Action on the Environment has been drafted in order to attain this goal. This obligation is duplicated in the Legislative Measures and National Policies Section of the Sustainable Use module, and the IAS module [Cooperation].

These activities have been agreed by the ASEAN member countries to promote regional cooperation towards sustainable development.
