This should focus on publications on PAs and special attention should be paid to developing countries, countries with economies in transition and small island developing States.

MAB Recommendations Goal 3 : deals with joint activities in the field of education and training under the goals of the Seville Strategy. These activities should be led by scientific boards and planned in joint sessions. Recommendations are for the establishment and functioning of transboundary Biosphere Reserves.

Ramsar Strategic Plan 2003-2008, Operational Objective 3.1 :The actions under this Operational Objective for Parties focus on reviewing the Wise Use concept (action 3.1.1), compiling advice and best practice studies for the wise use of wetlands (action 3.12), ensuring that the application of the Convention New guidelines for management planning for Ramsar sites and other wetlands (Ramsar Resolution VIII.14, Annex) is applied (action 3.1.3), and disseminating and encouraging the use of the Convention’s guidance on the wise use concept to governments, agencies and donors (action 3.1.4). This obligation is duplicated in the planning activity of the management section.
